Instructor Bio

 I was born in the South Central African Nation of Zambia.  I attended elementary and secondary education in Zambia and Mozambique respectively.  I completed my high school education in Mozambique, where my parents were assigned in the diplomatic corp.  I came to the United States in August of 1996.  My first stop being Texas, I am now proud to call myself 20 % Texan. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in the Department of Agricultural Education.  I met Tyra Vann while attending Texas A&M; we were married in December of 2002.

My interest is in the area of International development and policy.  My wife and I attend West Oaks Baptist Church here in Bryan, Texas.  I have a passion for people, especially people that are disadvantaged.  My slogan is ‘Development anywhere is Development everywhere.’
