Professional Interest: Area of expertise is related to the floral, greenhouse and ornamental crops used in interior and exterior landscapes.  Studies center on tow areas: 1) the physiology of nutrient uptake by plants and the development of efficient fertility programs, and 2) water quality and salinity effects on plants.

Applied Physiology of Horticultural Crops, Fall 1985, University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.  Invited by US-AID in cooperation with the University of Peradeniya.  Equivalent to 3 credit hour course.

Applied Physiology of Horticultural Crops, July 2007, Colegio de Postgraduados, Campus Montecillo, Montecillo, Mexican.  An invited condensed 5-day graduate lecture course sponsored by the Mexican Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Colegio de Postgraduados.
